History

In 1968 Jane Soverns, a former public school teacher, was asked to teach temporarily at a new, church-sponsored nursery school planned as a cooperative effort between teachers and parents. Jane was under the impression she would be involved for just one month. She retired 42 years later in June 2010! The program was sponsored by St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church and housed in the old Baltimore & Annapolis Railroad Station. When the train station was no longer available for rental, St. John’s Lutheran Church became our forever home in 1984!
